This position will be stationed in Saudi Arabia (Prince Sultan Air Base)

Essential Functions & Responsibilities/Description:

  • Comprehend the SCRL language as spoken and written, speak both of the SCRL required language(s) and English.
  • Have familiarity with the cultural context of both the SCRL and English
  • Have knowledge of terminology in specialized fields
  • Observe protocols applicable to different settings
  • Master the modes applicable to these settings

Minimum Education/ Experience:

Qualifications: all linguists must be Category II (CAT II, SECRET) and have a minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level three (3) proficiency in their SCRL.

  • Active Secret Clearance (Tier 3 is required)
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a current passport (passport shall be at individual or contractor expense).
  • Pass a standard physical examination that includes, at a minimum: medical history, height, weight, blood pressure, HIV antibody and chest X-ray.
  • Be physically capable of performing duties, functions and activities.
  • Comply with all security requirements.
  • Comply with necessary theater clearance, training, immunizations and medical requirements.
