What are Saracens?

Historically, 'Saracen' was a term used in Europe during the Middle Ages to refer broadly to Arabs or Muslims, especially those encountered during the Crusades. The term does not refer to a specific job or occupation today, but rather to a group of people. In medieval literature and documents, Saracens were often depicted as opponents of Christian crusaders. The word's usage has since fallen out of favor and is considered outdated in modern contexts.
