Role Overview

As an AMS ABAP Fiori Developer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of SAP applications in managed service environments. You will design and implement modern solutions using ABAP (OO/RAP), CDS views, Fiori/UI5, and OData, ensuring high performance, compliance with SAP best practices, and seamless client operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing AMS support, including incident resolution, performance tuning, and functional enhancement implementation.
  • Develop and maintain custom SAP solutions using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and CDS views.
  • Create and enhance Fiori/UI5 applications integrated with backend systems via OData services.
  • Collaborate with functional AMS consultants to design technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Extend SAP standard functionality using SAP BTP extensions and in-app / side-by-side development approaches.
  • Monitor and maintain code quality and compliance with SAP Clean Core guidelines.
  • Participate in release management, transport coordination, and technical documentation for AMS clients.
  • Work closely with Syntax's global AMS delivery teams to ensure seamless handover and SLA adherence.
  • Stay current with emerging SAP technologies like CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) and Fiori Elements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of SAP development experience, including OO ABAP, S/4HANA, and Fiori/UI5.
  • Proven experience delivering AMS support and enhancements in SAP ECC or S/4HANA and Public Cloud landscapes.
  • Strong understanding of CDS views, RAP, OData.
  • Practical exposure to SAP BTP and Eclipse/ADT development tools.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
