Job description

The work

The SAP Business Analyst / Tester is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and modeling client data and performance indicators to support decisionmaking and solution planning within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and related SAP environments. This role develops comprehensive test strategies, plans test phases, and leads execution across functional, development, and technical teams. The analyst/tester collaborates closely with stakeholders to validate business requirements, ensure crossprocess integration, and support continuous enhancement of SAC, SAP ECC, and analytics solutions. The position requires strong analytical skills, handson testing experience, and familiarity with core SAP processes such as Order to Cash and Procurement to Pay.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate collaboration across functional, development, and technical teams to resolve issues found during testing
  • Design, plan, and deliver advanced analytics solutions within SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Develop test strategies and manage large, complex SAP test efforts across all test phases
  • Lead all test planning activities, including defining scope, timelines, and resource needs
  • Track, document, and manage defects through resolution
  • Work with clients and functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into SAC configurations
  • Gather and validate reporting and analytics requirements from business stakeholders
  • Translate functional specifications into test cases for SAC, BW queries, and SAP HANA models
  • Execute system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Support data reconciliation, KPI validation, and analytics output quality checks
  • Participate in budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning activities
  • Manage and mentor junior team members

Here's what you need:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Tester on SAP Analytics projects
  • Understanding of SAP modules feeding analytics solutions (Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Handson experience with SAC, BW queries, and SAP reporting tools (BOBJ, Analysis for Office)
  • Experience with SAP ECC and BI processes for Order to Cash or Procurement to Pay
  • Proficiency with test management tools (ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Ability to work across multiple functional and technical teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SAC planning models, advanced calculations, or HANA modeling
  • Experience supporting S/4HANA analytics initiatives
  • Background in data modeling, KPI design, or data quality validation
  • Experience leading teams or coordinating complex testing cycles

Eligibility requirements:

  • US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship)
  • Eligible to obtain a government security clearance
