Job description

Detail-oriented Order Entry / Customer Service professional to join our Danbury, CT client. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a growing operation where accuracy, teamwork, and customer satisfaction are critical.

Schedule and Pay

· Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

· $20–$25 per hour, based on experience

· Overtime available as business needs require

Role Overview

This position supports order entry for a wide range of industrial products, including both catalog items and large, complex equipment orders. The role focuses primarily on order processing and customer interaction for catalog customers, while larger, multi-million-dollar projects are handled by the sales and project management teams.

Key responsibilities

· Accurately enter and process customer orders and returns using the company ERP system

· Serve as the primary point of contact for catalog-based B2B customers

· Coordinate with internal Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure order accuracy

· Review pricing, taxes, and order details to ensure complete and correct documentation

· Maintain organized records and manage multiple orders simultaneously

What we are looking for -

· Prior order entry or customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

· Experience with any ERP system (Aptean Intuitive, SAP, or similar)

· Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail

· Ability to learn and retain extensive product information

· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Comfortable performing basic calculations, including taxes

· Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
