Job Description:
The primary focus of this position will be to provide support in delivering SAP releases to production and provide technical support for Solution Manager ChaRM/QGM. 75% of the work will focus on ChaRm and QGM support, upgrades and enhancements- 25% will be supporting weekly and monthly SAP releases that can be of various types including major, minor, standard and standalone and can be functional, technical or a combination. The releases will include one or more of the SAP Systems including ECC, BW, SCM/APO, PI, Portal, CRM, and MII/ME. In some cases, they also include non-SAP systems.
Responsibilities/Functions:
The primary responsibility for this position is to provide SAP Release Management Support within the ERP COE PMO focusing on Release Execution and Support. This includes:
Coordinate, facilitate and execute the Transport & Deployment Management process for SAP Releases including:
• Working with the various projects/teams in the release to coordinate and plan the technical deployments of the various solutions including SAP Transportable and Non-Transportable systems, legacy systems and other third-party applications.
• Provide support to the projects/teams on SAP Transports and Tools including Solution Manager Quality Gate Management (QGM) and Change Request Management (ChaRM), CTS+ and TMS.
• Provide documentation and training on SAP Transports and Tools as needed by the projects/teams.
• Working with the Development teams to support SAP Transports including organization/bundling, dual maintenance/retrofit and object conflict issue resolution.
• Working with the Cutover Team to plan and execute the release and import of SAP Transports during the cutover rehearsals, go-live and hyper-care phases of the release.
• Working with the Testing Team to plan and execute the release and import of SAP Transports during the testing phases of the release.
Provide Level 1 technical support for Solution Manager ChaRM/QGM for the ERP organization including:
• Identify/Recommend Continuous Improvement opportunities within the process/tools.
• Design, Configure and Test fixes for Incidents, new Enhancements and System Upgrades of ChaRM/QGM.
• Monitor System Issues (e.g. Performance).
• Work directly with SAP to resolve issues as necessary.
