Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite Preferred)

Position Overview

Phoenix Staff is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Analyst to support enterprise SAP initiatives within a complex operational environment. This role will focus on SAP configuration activities, system change management, and support of organizational structure updates across multiple business units.

The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring SAP solutions are configured accurately, tested thoroughly, and deployed effectively. This individual will help maintain system consistency while supporting ongoing organizational growth and process evolution.

This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys collaborating with end users, managing configuration changes, and contributing to the long-term success of a large-scale SAP landscape.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the configuration and maintenance of SAP organizational structures, including company code creation and related setup activities.
  • Coordinate the movement of SAP changes through development, testing, and production environments.
  • Review and verify configuration updates prior to release to help ensure accuracy and system reliability.
  • Work directly with finance, operations, and other business partners to understand requirements and recommend functional SAP solutions.
  • Participate in testing efforts, validation activities, and deployment support during project and enhancement cycles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system changes follow established governance, approval, and documentation standards.
  • Investigate and resolve SAP-related issues involving organizational structures, configuration settings, and system transports.
  • Contribute to ongoing system support efforts while assisting with future business expansion and operational initiatives.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) functional experience.
  • Hands-on experience configuring SAP organizational structures and associated master data elements.
  • Working knowledge of SAP transport processes, release management, and change control practices.
  • Experience supporting SAP implementations, system enhancements, upgrades, or deployment activities.
  • Ability to engage with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and validate functional outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across technical and business teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to additional SAP finance-related solutions such as Treasury, Group Reporting, Multi-Bank Connectivity, or similar applications.
