SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Solution Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Core SAP PM / EAM Solution Architecture Expertise
• Own end-to-end SAP Plant Maintenance and Enterprise Asset Management solution architecture across asset lifecycle management, work management, maintenance planning, execution, reliability, and asset performance processes.
• Design and govern enterprise asset structures including functional locations, equipment master data, equipment categories, classification, maintenance BOMs, measuring points, counters, warranties, and asset hierarchy standards.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise in notifications, work orders, order types, task lists, maintenance plans, strategy plans, preventive, corrective, breakdown, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.
• Apply strong knowledge of maintenance scheduling, capacity planning, permits, confirmations, technical completion, settlement, refurbishment, calibration, inspection integration, and maintenance cost tracking.
SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, Mobile and Integration Capabilities
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Management, SAP Fiori applications, embedded analytics, maintenance dashboards, mobile maintenance solutions, digital work instructions, and technician enablement.
• Strong integration knowledge across SAP PM with MM, procurement, inventory management, MRO spare parts, EWM, FI/CO, PS, QM, PP, SD, document management, security, workflows, and reporting.
• Experience preparing functional specifications for RICEFW objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, mobile applications, labels, maintenance forms, and asset reporting extracts.
• Ability to prepare process design documents, architecture decisions, configuration rationale, test scripts, training material, cutover task lists, master data templates, maintenance process guides, and support handover documents.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead onsite requirement gathering, fit-to-standard workshops, business process validation, solution architecture discussions, and client-facing decision-making for SAP S/4HANA Plant Maintenance and Enterprise Asset Management processes.
• Act as the primary SAP PM/EAM solution architecture point of contact for maintenance, asset management, plant operations, IT, integration, data migration, testing, and project governance teams.
• Define and review configuration for functional locations, equipment, classification, measuring points, counters, notifications, work orders, task lists, maintenance plans, permits, confirmations, technical completion, settlement, and maintenance master data.
• Facilitate workshops, playback sessions, solution walkthroughs, fit-gap discussions, prototype reviews, defect triage meetings, cutover readiness reviews, and business sign-off discussions.
• Coordinate with offshore functional consultants, ABAP, integration, data migration, basis, security, testing, reporting, mobile, and support teams to ensure timely design, build, testing, and deployment delivery.
• Track open issues, dependencies, defects, architecture decisions, risks, assumptions, and action items; provide concise status updates to project managers, client leads, and governance forums.
• Lead testing, cutover planning, mock cutover cycles, master data readiness, asset hierarchy validation, maintenance plan readiness, go-live, hypercare, and production stabilization for SAP PM/EAM scope.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
• Excellent onsite client-facing communication, executive stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and consultative leadership skills.
• Ability to lead business process discussions, challenge requirements constructively, recommend SAP standard best practices, and drive agreement on solution decisions.
• Proven experience coordinating offshore functional, technical, testing, data migration, integration, and support teams in multi-vendor, distributed, Agile/Hybrid environments.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, escalation management, risk communication, and delivery ownership capabilities.
