Job description

The work

The Junior SAP MDG Functional SME Consultant will support SAP Master Data Governance initiatives with a primary focus on Material Master. This role collaborates closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to assess requirements, design functional solutions, and ensure highquality delivery across SAP MDG processes. The consultant will contribute to backlog creation, process design, testing, and ongoing application support.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to assess and document business requirements and user stories, and assist with creation and refinement of the product backlog
  • Support SAP MDG software applications, including monitoring and troubleshooting interfaces with partner systems
  • Provide business process design support for material creation and updates, material mass change, and utilize standard SAP MDG and Material Master functionality
  • Collaborate closely with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements and align with MDG design standards
  • Develop, write, and execute test plans including functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the SAP MDG environment

Here's What You Need

  • Minimum 2 years of SAP MDG experience, including experience with Material Master
  • Experience documenting business requirements, user stories, or functional specifications

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods
  • Experience with data migration, validation, or MDG workflow troubleshooting

Eligibility Requirements

  • US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship)
  • Must be eligible to obtain a government Public Trust Clearance
