The work

The Data Scientist is responsible for analyzing complex datasets to drive business decisions and deliver actionable insights across SAP and nonSAP environments. This role leverages statistical methods, data modeling, and visualization techniques to solve business challenges and support decisionmaking. The Data Scientist will gather, wrangle, and validate data; develop analytic pipelines; design predictive models; and communicate findings through dashboards, KPIs, and executiveready visualizations. The role collaborates closely with crossfunctional teams to implement datadriven solutions and deliver AI/MLbased frameworks that generate measurable business value.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, and wrangle data from SAP and nonSAP sources; build reusable analytics and data pipelines
  • Clean, validate, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets to ensure highquality inputs for analysis
  • Conduct statistical and exploratory analyses to identify trends, patterns, and business insights
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models using SAP Analytics Cloud Predictive or external ML frameworks integrated with SAP data
  • Enhance data collection procedures to support analytic system development
  • Create dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations to clearly communicate findings to business stakeholders
  • Support data reconciliation and KPI validation between source systems and analytics outputs
  • Collaborate with IT, business analysts, and leadership to implement datadriven solutions
  • Design and deliver AI/MLbased decisionmaking frameworks; measure and justify model value

Here's what you need:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or applied data modeling (ideally with SAP data)
  • Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data manipulation libraries
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud Predictive, SAP BTP AI Core, or integrating SAP data with external ML platforms
  • Strong understanding of data preparation and feature engineering for large ERP datasets
  • Solid statistical and machinelearning background with the ability to explain models to nontechnical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • SAP BW/4HANA experience
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA modeling, BW queries, or SAP BTP services
  • Experience with cloudbased ML platforms (AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, etc.)
  • Background in data governance, data quality frameworks, or production model deployment

Eligibility requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship (no duals)
  • Ability to obtain a client Public Trust government clearance
