About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a strong SAP Ariba Architect with deep expertise in upstream and downstream procurement processes to support enterprise implementation work for a global technology services organization.

This is an architect-level role requiring 10+ years of experience, hands-on Ariba solution design, and proven delivery of Ariba Contract Management in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EC&O / ePC) environments. Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM and integration patterns is essential.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design and architect scalable SAP Ariba solutions covering Sourcing, Contract Management, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including invoice and inventory management.
  • Lead design and optimization of upstream and downstream procurement workflows and user experiences.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Ariba solutions during client workshops and solution design sessions.
  • Design solutions leveraging Ariba Upstream, Downstream, and Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) modules to optimize the Source-to-Pay process.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Ariba modules and ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA.
  • Guide implementation of Ariba best practices and perform gap analysis between client requirements and standard Ariba functionality.
  • Gather and document business needs related to sourcing, contracts, and spend analysis.
  • Act as liaison between procurement teams and technical teams for Ariba downstream workflows.
  • Define a scalable and flexible architecture for upstream processes.
  • Work with middleware teams to ensure proper integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies in invoice and payment processing.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of overall experience with significant architect-level responsibility in procurement / Ariba solution design.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Ariba modules: Sourcing, Contract Management, and P2P (including invoice and inventory management).
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience deploying/implementing Ariba Contract Management solutions in EC&O / ePC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) environments.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience designing and optimizing procurement workflows and user experiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for upstream procurement processes.
  • Experience ensuring integration between Ariba and ERP systems (especially SAP S/4HANA).
  • Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM module.
  • Ability to perform gap analysis and act as Ariba SME in client workshops.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work on-site / hybrid in Houston, TX.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
