About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead critical Safety & Security digital technology initiatives for a major national transportation organization in Washington, DC.

In this role, you will take ownership of high-stakes, in-flight safety projects following a leadership transition and drive implementation, optimization, and operational management of the Everbridge Business Continuity & Incident Center (BCIC) platform. You will work closely with enterprise stakeholders and technology teams to ensure continuity, system integration, and strong incident-management response across critical infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage end-to-end execution of ongoing digital technology projects focused on organizational safety, emergency management, and business continuity.
  • Lead operational administration, integration, and platform strategy for the Everbridge BCIC suite.
  • Transition, organize, and drive existing Safety & Security initiatives previously managed by senior leadership to maintain momentum and complete scope.
  • Collaborate with Digital Technology teams, vendors, and business leaders to align technology solutions with incident-response protocols.
  • Track project performance, manage risks, establish mitigation plans, and deliver executive-level status reporting on milestones and platform adoption.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Everbridge tools and advise stakeholders on best practices for critical event management and mass notifications.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of dedicated project management experience leading enterprise IT or digital technology initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience and deep exposure to the Everbridge platform, specifically the Business Continuity & Incident Center (BCIC) product line.
  • Proven track record managing projects in Safety & Security, emergency mass notification, or business continuity domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to step into ongoing, complex projects and quickly establish structure, governance, and leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and vendor coordination skills in large-scale, government, or transportation environments.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Business continuity credential such as CBCP.
  • Prior transportation, rail, public-sector, or critical-infrastructure program experience.

About ZipStaff:
ZipStaff partners with leading organizations to connect skilled technology and program professionals with high-impact contract opportunities. We focus on quality matches and long-term success.
