We are seeking a skilled SAP BusinessObjects (BO) professional to join our IT team. This role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and administration of the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and delivering BI solutions—including reports, universes, and dashboards—to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using SAP BusinessObjects tools such as Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Create and manage universes using UDT/IDT to define and control data access for reporting.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Administration & Platform Management
Install, configure, and maintain the SAP BusinessObjects BI environment, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
Manage user access, security roles, and permissions via the Central Management Console (CMC).
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis for platform and reporting problems.
Maintenance & Support
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing BI reports and platform infrastructure.
Schedule, monitor, and manage report refreshes and background jobs to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
Apply system patches and upgrades to maintain a secure and up-to-date BI environment.
Testing & Deployment
Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure BI solution quality and accuracy.
Manage the promotion of BI content (reports, universes, dashboards) across development, test, and production environments.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with the SAP BusinessObjects BI suite.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Information Design Tool (IDT).
Strong SQL skills with experience querying and optimizing data across databases such as SAP HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Certification: SAP Certified in either Application Associate – BusinessObjects or Business Technology Platform Administrator.
Administration Experience: BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) administration, including server management and security configuration.
Integration Knowledge: Experience integrating SAP BO with other SAP solutions (e.g., SAP BW, SAP ERP) or cloud-based database platforms.
