Job description

Client is seeking a candidate for a highly technical position to manage the overall technical infrastructure of the SAP system.
Responsibilities include system monitoring, user administration, backups, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
The role also involves ensuring the smooth operation of the SAP environment by managing configurations and resolving technical issues across various SAP modules.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and perform required system changes, solution design, server architecture and performance analysis. Analyze process gaps and fine tune as and when required.
  • Ensure delivery within the defined SLA and agreed milestones (projects) by following best practices and processes and observing KPI's for continuous service improvement.
  • Interact with other teams (functional, ABAP teams), to understand functional/technical requirement, and solve issues in the system administration area.
  • Collaborate with the SAP HANA application implementation team and the infrastructure team to ensure proper implementation, sustainable support, and peak performance.
  • Execute common SAP and industry standard daily/weekly/monthly maintenance, BASIS administration procedures for SAP HANA.
  • Install, upgrade, and monitor SAP HANA Databases / HANA Database Cockpit in a scale-up and scale-out environment.
  • Setup three-tier HANA System Replication.
  • Troubleshoot HANA memory bottlenecks, tune performance and manage workload.
  • Establish, implement, and test disaster recovery and test business continuity solutions for SAP HANA.
  • Configure HANA SSO/SAML.
  • Support SAP Bank Analyzer and the BW HANA environment.
  • Set up CTS+ for HANA transports.
  • Implement & maintain solution manager monitoring alerts, configure object metrics for App Server, HDB, and OS level.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess in depth technical skills in managing SAP systems, HANA DBs, and integration interfaces.
  • Experience with the review and coordination of impact analysis on application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements. Able to translate them to technical architecture and system/server configuration requirements.
  • Able to provide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software, and security.
  • Experience in automation in the SAP on Cloud space, GCP deployments, and High-Availability Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience with the support of SAP systems running on High Availability platforms, capable of troubleshooting the system startup and performance issues.
  • Experience in L1 administration of Red Hat and SUSE Linux is required.
  • Working knowledge of SUSE Linux enterprise High Availability cluster.
