Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & Security Consultant responsible for managing, supporting, and securing SAP environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Basis administration, SAP Security, user and role management, system monitoring, performance optimization, transport management, upgrades, patches, and SAP landscape administration.

The consultant will work closely with functional teams, infrastructure teams, auditors, and business stakeholders to ensure SAP systems are stable, secure, compliant, and available.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Basis Administration

  • Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration and production support.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor SAP systems and components.
  • Manage SAP system health, availability, performance, and capacity.
  • Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Manage SAP transports across development, quality, and production environments.
  • Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support pack upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
  • Manage SAP background jobs, RFCs, interfaces, printers, and system connectivity.
  • Configure and maintain SAP profiles, instances, operation modes, and system parameters.
  • Support SAP system refreshes, client administration, and system copies.
  • Coordinate with database, operating system, network, and cloud teams for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations, implementations, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system records.

SAP Security Administration

  • Design, create, maintain, and troubleshoot SAP roles and authorizations.
  • Perform user administration, including creation, modification, locking/unlocking, and termination of users.
  • Manage role assignments and authorization objects in accordance with business requirements and security policies.
  • Support SAP GRC Access Control processes, including access requests, risk analysis, and mitigation.
  • Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis and remediation.
  • Support periodic user access reviews and role recertification.
  • Monitor and investigate security-related issues and authorization failures.
  • Implement SAP security patches, notes, and recommendations.
  • Support audit requirements, compliance assessments, and remediation activities.
  • Maintain security standards and ensure adherence to organizational access-control policies.
