The Difference You Make:
Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking for an Analyst to join the Export & Agency Finance (EAF) team in the US, with a primary focus on Latin America and Multilateral Agencies (MLAs).
This role offers exposure to complex international transactions across LatAm markets, working closely with clients, multilaterals, and internal teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the origination, structuring, and execution of EAF transactions, with a focus on Latin America and MLA-backed financings (e.g., IDB, IFC, CAF).
  • Assist in transactions end-to-end, from initial pitch through closing, including preparation of presentations, term sheets, and credit materials.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including cash flow analysis and profitability metrics.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Coverage, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Markets, Syndication) across multiple geographies.
  • Support client relationship management, including preparing pitchbooks and participating in client meetings, particularly in LatAm markets.
  • Contribute to credit approval processes, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and stay up to date on market trends, MLAs, ECAs, and geopolitical developments impacting the region.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in structured finance, export finance, project finance, or corporate banking
  • Familiarity with ECA and/or Multilateral Agency financing structures preferred
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross-border, multicultural environment
  • Professional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) preferred
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on Latin American transactions or clients preferred
  • Exposure to MLAs such as IDB, IFC, CAF, or World Bank Group
  • Background in infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectors preferred
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking, Structured Finance, or Trade Finance
