What is sandbox hauling?

Sandbox hauling refers to the transportation of sand-filled containers, known as 'sandboxes,' commonly used in the oil and gas industry for hydraulic fracturing (fracking) operations. Drivers or operators pick up, deliver, and sometimes help load and unload these sandboxes at drill sites and supply yards. The job requires operating heavy-duty trucks, following safety protocols, and scheduling deliveries to meet operational demands. Sandbox hauling plays a crucial role in ensuring that fracking sites have a steady supply of sand needed for the extraction process.
