Description

All Soap Gal employees are responsible for living our core values. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is accountable for verifying all finished goods meet the required specifications and that the production process is compliant with GMP and Company standards. They inspire and mentor by providing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training for all employees.

Detailed Description:

  • Ensures the staff are properly prepared for production with adherence to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Inspect and verify incoming raw materials and components to ensure they meet specifications and include necessary documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Quarantine materials until all the proper documentation is received, then authorize release for storage and use.
  • Gather samples and ensure the proper paperwork is recorded and filed with each sample.
  • Regularly inspect soap production for proper procedures, adherence to formulas and sanitation practices. 
  • Communicate with staff throughout the day regarding policies, SOP's and safety regulations.
  • Document line inspections and provide communication to Supervisors on results of inspections.
  • Accurately complete all Quality Assurance forms, audit, track and maintain lot code documentation and storage.
  • Issue Non-Conforming Materials Reports (NCMR) as required.
  • Ensure traceability is done throughout daily compounding, soap making, cutting, packing, lot coding and shipping.
  • Check weights of compound materials to ensure they meet range specifications.
  • Inspect packaging and the finished products' quality to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Conduct employee GMP orientation within one (1) week of an employee's hire date.
  • Create and maintain quality management forms and/or documents
  • Provide ongoing training for employees on GMP.
  • Conduct audits and mock recalls to improve, streamline and ensure adherence to GMP practices and improving quality.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience working with quality systems and/or Degree in related field
  • Capacity to interpret basic recipes and calculate weights and measures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
