Our client, a leading personal care manufacturer, is looking to hire a QC Lab Technician to join their team in Pomona, CA!
Location: Pomona, CA
Pay rate: $20/hr. - $25/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1pm-9:30pm, with possibility of Sat.
Job type: Contract - hire
Job Summary
The QC Lab Technician is responsible for performing routine laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. This position supports the QC department through data entry, documentation, and laboratory maintenance while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and other routine QC tests on samples.
  • Assist with the approval of in-process and finished product samples.
  • Prepare and transcribe analytical data for Certificates of Analysis (CoA) release.
  • Accurately label and distribute specimens to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory work areas, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform quality control duties as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all GMP and safety requirements.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of QC materials and samples as needed.
  • Support other areas of Quality Control as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • BS Degree or High School Diploma with 1-2 years of formal laboratory experience, preferably in a wet chemistry or QC environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and established procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to interface with all departments.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
