Job description

Sample receiving Contractor Duties
1)Monitor TDOH-ENV Login Health emails for bottle orders and communication.
2)Receive and log samples.
3)Contact clients as necessary.
4)Notify analysts of sample issues and requested turnaround times.
5)Track and inventory supplies and report to the manager.
6)Help edit and provide comment on job aids, SOPs, and other sample receiving informational paperwork.
7)Wastewater.
a.Accessioning of wastewater samples
i.Receive and open kits.
ii.Accession information from sample form.
iii.Second check logged information.
b.Kit building and shipping of Wastewater and Well Water Program Kits
i.Preparation of kits
ii.Making and printing shipping labels
iii.Ensuring kits are placed in the warehouse for a timely shipment.
8)Assist other areas at manager discretion:
a.Assist with receiving, logging, and distributing samples.
b.Dispose of samples
c.Enter quality control into Microsoft Excel
d.Enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
e.Assist in preparation of samples before analysis.
f.Assist in making sampling kits and shipping them to client.
g.Assist in recording daily checks of ovens, refrigerators, hoods, etc.
h.Assist with clerical duties.
