Job description

Global luxury womenswear and streetwear brand, Naked Wardrobe, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apparel Sample Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment construction, an eye for detail, and the ability to translate design concepts into high-quality samples. You will collaborate closely with designers and production teams to create prototypes of apparel items, ensuring that all specifications are met.
Responsibilities:

  • Sew and construct initial prototypes and samples of new fashion styles based on patterns and tech packs provided by the Patternmakers
  • Collaborate closely with the Patternmakers, Design, Technical Design and PD & Production to execute and refine each prototype, ensuring proper fit, construction, and quality
  • Handle delicate and specialty fabrics with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Perform multiple iterations on each sample based on real-time design and fit feedback 
  • Maintain sample room organization, sewing equipment, and workspace cleanliness
  • Support general sample room operations, including basic cutting and pressing as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience / Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in garment sewing and sample-making, ideally in womenswear apparel – basics and fashion
  • Exceptional sewing, construction, and finishing skills—especially for high-end knit and woven fabrics and intricate garment designs
  • Ability to interpret patterns, technical drawings, and tech packs accurately
  • Strong knowledge of garment fit and drape
  • Excellent time management and ability to pivot quickly across styles and revisions
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a small, high-output team
  • Familiarity with prototype development workflows and fit sessions
  • Experience working in a sample room environment or fashion brand with structured development processes
