Our company is seeking a Supervisor to direct and watch over the work and performance which consists of managing job processing, organization quality, and productivity in the Samples Department. To assure all samples meet or surpass quality expectations prior to being sent to customers.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise, train and evaluate the quality output of department workforce
  • Supervises the production of work, produced on time and within quality standards 
  • Assure quality and output goals of the department are met
  • Interprets verbal and written specifications and job instructions to workers by demonstration
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Inform manager of job status and work in progress
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality and timely delivery of samples  
  • Leads and monitors sample department on their performance. 
  • Monitor and inspect pieces from finishing lines for proper construction, specifications, etc.
  • Schedule sample employees for daily work and weekend work
  • Reply to emails and send emails and scans to Project Managers
  • Enforce company policies
  • Promote and practice safety rules
  • Maintain a clean and organized department
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a printing, mailing, finishing, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team-lead experience required or strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of printing and mailing processes.
  • Experience interpreting job tickets, specifications, work instructions, and approved samples.
  • Experience inspecting finished products and identifying quality issues or discrepancies.
  • Supervisory or leadership training preferred.
  • Experience with quality control, sample production, or finishing processes preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful.
