Job Title: Healthcare Solutions Architect
Location: Baltimore, MD (100% Remote)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Solutions Architect to provide strategic technology direction and architecture for complex transformation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare payer experience, particularly with Facets G6 claims processing, integration, interoperability, EDI, and enterprise modernization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop solution architecture for large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight from planning through implementation.
  • Design and modernize Facets G6 real-time and batch claims processing, including pre-adjudication validation, EDI transactions, claims editing, and third-party integrations.
  • Define integration and interoperability strategies between Facets G6 and enterprise systems.
  • Lead architecture modernization, simplification, resiliency, provider data rationalization, and legacy platform retirement initiatives.
  • Provide architecture guidance across claims, enrollment, billing/payments, underwriting, benefits, and partner programs.
  • Lead third-party solution architecture engagements and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and technology teams to develop scalable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to enterprise portfolio rationalization and technical debt remediation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and present architecture recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and influence architecture and delivery teams across multiple disciplines.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant architecture experience in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong solution and integration architecture experience.
  • Recent experience with Facets G6 claims processing, including real-time/batch processing and pre-adjudication.
  • Experience with EDI, healthcare integrations, interoperability, and claims editing engines.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture modernization and legacy platform transformation.
  • Experience across healthcare functions such as claims, enrollment, billing/payments, underwriting, and benefits.
  • Expertise in at least two architecture domains, such as enterprise, solution, data, integration, cloud, interoperability, software, or AI architecture.
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, and X12 and regulations such as HIPAA, CMS, and NCQA.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master''s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Recent healthcare payer or provider experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud/Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Kafka, Azure/Fabric, or similar healthcare technology platforms.
  • Experience with portfolio rationalization, technical debt remediation, and third-party architecture engagements.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as cloud, big data, BPM, AI/ML, and automation.
