As a Bethel Station Agent, you are the essential link on the ground that connects communities, local businesses, and families to the freight they depend on. This is an action-oriented, fast-paced role where you will manage the safe, efficient, and timely movement of inbound, outbound, and transit cargo. From mastering the loading and unloading of aircraft to ensuring the secure, compliant, and prompt delivery of USPS Bypass Mail, your work directly impacts lives every day. DUTIES:
  • Customer Service Excellence: Serve as the professional face of NAC, delivering high-energy, friendly, and exceptional service to customers during all freight drop-offs, pick-ups, and inquiries.
  • Precision Freight Handling: Safely, efficiently, and meticulously load, unload, and secure manifested cargo, mail, and baggage to keep our flight operations on schedule and compliant.
  • Essential Mail Operations: Act as a critical connection point by processing and transferring mail to/from partner airlines and the U.S. Post Office, and coordinating the flawless delivery of Bypass mail to local community customers.
  • Data Entry & Documentation: Take ownership of the digital cargo trail by entering airway bills, freight details, and real-time tracking data into our advanced electronic tracking system.
  • Communication & Coordination: Master station communications by answering calls, managing inquiries with a helpful attitude, and routing critical operational messages accurately.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely command ground service equipment (GSE) and utility vehicles to support fast-moving ramp and warehouse activities.
  • Station Pride & Safety: Maintain a spotless, organized, and safe workplace, performing light building and ground maintenance to keep our Bethel station looking top-notch.
  • Operational Flexibility: Thrive in a dynamic aviation environment by maintaining stellar attendance and the flexibility to conquer rotating shift schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays.
  • Team Success: Step up and tackle any additional operational tasks assigned by the Station Supervisor to keep the team winning.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent.

Experience:
  • Six (6) months of experience in cargo handling, warehouse operations, customer service, or the aviation industry is preferred (but we will train the right motivated individual!).

Language Skills:
  • Ability to confidently read, interpret, and apply safety manuals, standard operating procedures, and interoffice notices.
  • Ability to draft clear, simple business emails and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and enthusiastically with customers, teammates, and flight crews both in person and over the phone.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to perform rapid, basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers and decimals to instantly audit cargo weights and sizes.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages for quick shipping quotes and invoice processing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card and successfully pass all mandatory medical screenings. Note: Maintaining a valid DOT medical card is a strict requirement for this role; failure to do so will result in separation from the company.
