We provide excellent benefits and perks, including the privilege of using club amenities! On a space-available basis, employees have the ability to play golf, tennis, or pickleball; use our fitness room, or purchase merchandise in one of our many shops. 

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WATER AEROBICS INSTRUCTOR:

As a Water Aerobics Instructor, you're responsible for instructing the members of Bonita Bay Club in Water Aerobics. You will prepare detailed lesson plans and gather the necessary materials to teach all levels of instruction. You will be explaining, demonstrating, and critiquing movements in the water to all fitness and age levels. You will effectively maintain control of the class and activity surrounding the pool safely and professionally. Inspect the pool and the surrounding area before class to ensure a safe environment for exercise. Inspect all fitness equipment for disrepair before the start of class. You will keep daily attendance records of participants. You will perform friendly and effective customer service and interact/relate to all ages. You will report all accidents and injuries immediately to either the Director of Fitness or the Assistant Manager.

Schedule: Class on Mondays and Fridays. $60 per class.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in Water Aerobics through either WaterArt, AEA, or a certifying agency.
  • Previous teaching and/or water safety experience preferred
  • Must be available Monday and/or Friday mornings
  • 1-2 years instructing experience preferred
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to perform friendly and effective customer service.
  • Knowledge of pool rules, safety equipment, and rescue techniques.
  • Ability to explain, demonstrate, and critique all fitness and age levels.
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Ability to pass a drug test
