Beach Bum Tanning - Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Statesboro, Georgia

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-27.00 per hour

Our salons depend on Facilities Technicians (FT) to keep our operation running smoothly and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our employees and guests. The FT executes vital maintenance, ensures the salons are in good repair and the equipment is running smoothly. Job Description
  • Continuously inspect salon and equipment, looking for repair opportunities and ensuring a safe and clean environment
  • Perform repairs and cleaning on all tanning and sunless equipment
  • Perform repairs on miscellaneous items throughout the salon. For Example, but not limited to touching up paint, replacing ceiling lights, changing HVAC filters
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to execute a maintenance agenda when scheduled in specific location
  • Assist with troubleshooting all equipment and salon facility issues
  • Prioritize importance of maintenance issues
  • Place orders for maintenance related items as needed
  • Inform Upper Management of any potential dangers or liabilities within the salon
  • Capable of effectively handling the physical demands of the job, which can involve lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, constant bending and lifting, and working from knees or low to the floor.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Previous mechanical or electrical related experience
  • Experience with mechanical/technical projects including home improvements, general repair/handyman work and effective and safe use of power tools
  • Basic Computer skills/Knowledge
  • RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Maintain and repair all salon equipment as directed by maintenance log requests.
  • Coordinate and assist with all improvement changes for locations.
  • Coordinate and assist with improvements to existing locations.
  • Ensure completion of Corporate directives in a timely manner.
  • Log all maintenance and needs as directed per supervisor.
  • Moving and assisting in transportation of furniture and equipment.
  • Act and make decisions in the best interest of the company.
  • Ensure effective communication between corporate and field locations.
  • Verify quality control is maintained in all locations.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend all assigned meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer capabilities.
  • 13 years commercial maintenance experience
  • SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Ability to use various power and hand tools efficiently.
  • Ability to MultiTask.
  • Should follow oral or written instructions.
  • Excellent/proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent/proven at interacting with others in a service environment to include: members, management, staff and suppliers.
  • Excellent/proven time management skills and working independently with minimal or no supervision.
  • Capable of effectively handling the physical demands of the job, which can involve lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, constant bending and lifting, and working from knees or low to the floor.
  • Previous knowledge and experience with repairing mechanical equipment ideal.
