Job Description

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.

Work collaboratively with technology and business groups to conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, and technology solutions that solve significant scientific or business problems. Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in own function and throughout multiple business areas. Contribute to advancement of technology in area of expertise. Develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across multiple disciplines. Technology Engineers will be aligned to a specific area: Information, Software, Data, or Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.

  • Understand, design, implement, demonstrate and deploy Salesforce Technology solutions using Point and click OOO features, Apex, Triggers, LWC, REST/SOAP integrations by studying Business needs, futuristic use cases, system data flows, work processes, investigating the production problems.
  • Serve as the Technical expert to lead projects and technical staff to implement new solutions, new products or operational improvements.
  • Analyzes and resolves technical problems using analytical problem-solving techniques/methods.
  • Conducting the design and code reviews, identifying the system or process or solution gaps, and constructing or providing recommendation for corrective actions, planning and executing the preventive measures.
  • Creating design patterns/models, coding best practices for vendors and other staff members to follow.
  • Studying the Salesforce Release Notes and bringing the PoV on new features that can be incorporated into system and business processes.
  • Conducting POC for the new features, documenting and demonstrating the observations and learnings, constructing the Business Use Case, cost estimation and execution plan for them.
  • Highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring minimal direction from the Supervisor. Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and scheduled completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control.
  • Constructing the Technical specifications and technical design documents.
  • Provides Technical leadership and mentors and consults vendors or less experienced staff in planning, procedures and best practices.
  • Identify the ambiguities, risks for the Projects and identifying the mitigation plans.
  • Working with Product Owners, Program Managers, Business analysts, Solution Architects, Application Architects for new projects and maintaining good relationships with cross functional teams.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience; Master's Degree with 5 years of experience; PhD with 0 years of experience.
  • Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own discipline
  • Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Must have 7 years of each of the following:
    • Salesforce administration and development experience.
    • Designing & implementing new processes & facilitating user adoption;
    • Identifying & analyzing upstream & downstream impact analysis through applications, systems, & processes.
    • Building custom applications with triggers/Apex code/Aura/LWC/SOAP/REST Integration, Flows and Platform Events.
    • Writing SOQL/SOSL & SQL with any RDBMS (e.g. SQL Server/Oracle/DB2)
  • Salesforce.com Administrator certification.
