Job description

VetsEZ is currently looking for a Salesforce Platform Developer for a 100% remote position supporting a large federal government program. This role will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Salesforce solutions supporting mission-critical business processes. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader, delivering scalable Salesforce applications while mentoring development teams and collaborating with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders across the software development lifecycle.
This position offers the opportunity to lead complex Salesforce initiatives utilizing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce platform capabilities while supporting secure, cloud-based federal healthcare solutions.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, and declarative platform capabilities.
  • Lead Salesforce application architecture, technical design, and development efforts across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud, and Knowledge.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing support, and ensure delivery of high-quality, maintainable solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues while optimizing application performance and reliability.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, analyze user stories, refine technical requirements, and contribute to solution planning and estimation.
  • Mentor junior developers, promote Salesforce development best practices, and support continuous improvement of coding standards and DevOps processes.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of information technology experience, including at least 6 years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Extensive experience designing and developing Salesforce solutions using Apex, Triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, JavaScript, and Lightning Design System.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce configuration and customization across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud, Knowledge, and Salesforce Lightning migrations.
  • Experience developing integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, OAuth, Single Sign-On (SSO), and DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, JIRA, ANT Migration Tool, Change Sets, and Force.com IDE.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience leading technical projects, conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and collaborating effectively within Agile software development teams.

Additional Qualifications
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Administrator, or Platform App Builder are preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting Salesforce applications, integrations, and production environments.
  • Experience with ETL and integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Informatica Cloud is preferred.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal government agencies is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
