Job Description
The Senior Database Management Lead is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of The TSTC Foundation's constituent relationship management (CRM) database and related advancement systems. This role supports advancement operations and fundraising functions by ensuring data integrity, maintaining system reliability, developing reporting and analytics, and supporting effective use of donor and advancement data across the Foundation.
Working collaboratively with advancement leadership, development staff, and Foundation stakeholders, the Senior Database Management Lead manages database processes, supports user training and adoption, develops reports and insights, and helps align system functionality with fundraising, stewardship, and advancement operations priorities. The role also supports data governance, process consistency, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen donor data management and operational effectiveness.
The Senior Database Management Lead serves as the Foundation's lead operational resource for CRM administration, donor data management, advancement reporting, and database support. Through strong analytical capability, systems administration, user support, and collaboration, this role contributes to effective fundraising operations, reliable advancement reporting, and the strategic use of donor and constituent data.
Anticipated salary range is $62-63k annually, based upon background, education and experience. Additionally, full state benefits and health insurance paid at 100% are available for this position.
Essential Functions

Salesforce for Nonprofits Database Administration
Administers, maintains, and supports The TSTC Foundation's Salesforce for NonProfits, Marketing Cloud, (within Salesforce), Omatic, GoFundMe Pro, and Awarded (scholarships) platforms and related board of directors or donor management systems. Oversees database setup, user support, data maintenance, and routine system administration activities to ensure data integrity, usability, reliability, and alignment with Foundation operations and fundraising needs.
Data Integrity & Database Maintenance
Maintains the accuracy, consistency, security, and integrity of donor and constituent records through data entry standards, routine audits, data hygiene practices, record updates, imports, exports, and ongoing maintenance activities. Supports backup processes, record quality controls, and database procedures which promote reliable advancement data, donor confidentiality, and reporting.
Donor Data Analysis & Advancement Reporting
Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and data summaries related to donor activity, fundraising performance, engagement trends, campaign progress, and advancement operations. Analyzes donor and advancement data to identify patterns, support segmentation and prospecting efforts, and provide insights that inform fundraising strategy, stewardship, and leadership decision-making.
Salesforce Support, Training & User Adoption
Provides day-to-day Salesforce support for the TSTC Foundation users, including troubleshooting issues, responding to questions, maintaining user documentation, and supporting system adoption. Develops and delivers training, guidance, and user resources to promote consistent and effective use of advancement systems and donor data tools.
Process Improvement & System Optimization
Identifies opportunities to improve Salesforce database processes, reporting workflows, user experience, and advancement operations through system enhancements, process refinements, and improved data practices. Recommends and supports implementation of user-focused improvements that strengthen system effectiveness and alignment with development goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Foundation Support
Collaborates with Advancement Operations, Development Officers, and Foundation leadership to support fundraising operations, reporting needs, events, campaigns, and institutional priorities. Participates in Foundation activities and works across functions to ensure advancement systems and donor data processes support organizational goals and operational consistency.
Education & Experience
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in business, information systems, data management, analytics, communications, advancement operations, or a related field.
Three years of experience in database management, Salesforce for Nonprofits administration, advancement operations, information systems, business systems, or related operational support functions.
Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data summaries used to support operational planning, fundraising, or leadership reporting.
Experience maintaining data integrity, managing records, and supporting user adoption of business systems or database platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey system, reporting, or data-related information clearly to diverse users and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, data management, analytics, communications, advancement operations, or a related field.
Four years of experience in database management, Salesforce for Nonprofits administration, advancement operations, information systems, business systems, or related operational support functions.
Experience supporting fundraising, donor relations, advancement services, nonprofit operations, or higher education development functions.
Experience with donor databases, (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, etc.) reporting, fundraising analytics, or advancement data processes.
Experience developing training resources or supporting end-user training for Salesforce and/or CRM platforms.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, except in cases where a specific degree is required to meet accreditation standards, licensure requirements, or other legislative or regulatory obligations. This includes, but is not limited to, certain faculty positions and staff roles governed by state or federal educational mandates.

Ability to administer and maintain Salesforce for Nonprofits and other Foundation database systems in support of advancement operations and fundraising activities.
Ability to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across donor, constituent, and advancement records.
Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and data summaries which support fundraising, stewardship, and leadership decision-making.
Ability to analyze donor and advancement data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
