Job description

We are seeking a Salesforce Platform Product Owner to lead the strategy, governance, security, and continuous improvement of our enterprise Salesforce platform. This role is responsible for maintaining platform health, ensuring security and compliance, driving architectural best practices, and partnering with engineering teams to deliver a scalable, reliable, and high-performing Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce platform expertise with product ownership, governance, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Salesforce platform roadmap, proactively monitoring and improving platform health, performance, integrations, and scalability.
  • Identify and resolve Apex performance issues, integration failures, and platform limit risks before they impact business operations.
  • Partner with Salesforce support and internal engineering teams to prioritize and resolve critical platform issues.
  • Define and track platform health KPIs, driving continuous improvements in processing efficiency, system performance, and reliability.
  • Lead platform security initiatives, including authentication enhancements, security policy implementation, and compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Ensure Salesforce controls align with SOX, audit, and enterprise governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on security incidents, risk assessments, and platform protection strategies.
  • Govern the lifecycle of Salesforce platform features, ensuring timely adoption of new capabilities and retirement of deprecated functionality.
  • Establish and maintain architectural standards for integrations, permission models, managed packages, and data architecture.
  • Promote governance-first delivery practices, platform reliability, and continuous improvement across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with Salesforce platform administration, architecture, or product ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, Apex, integrations, APIs, security, and platform governance.
  • Experience with Salesforce security, compliance, audit controls, and enterprise risk management.
  • Proven ability to define platform roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise software development practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Application/System Architect are preferred.
