Job description

About this role:

This role sits at the intersection of deep Salesforce platformexpertiseand broader systems thinking. You'llstay hands-on and close to implementation — reviewing code deeply, unblocking complex work, and keeping architecture grounded in real platform constraints — while also shaping strong engineering practices and exploring how Salesforce canparticipatein agent workflows. This role carries both solution design and delivery mandate.

Role responsibilities:
  • Own platform health.Take ownership of the technical health, designand governance of the Salesforce platform — Apex, LWC, Flow, data model, securitymodeland permission sets.
  • Set standards.Define and enforce coding standards, AI codingpracticesand governor limit strategies.
  • Lead delivery operations.Lead release management, sandboxstrategyand DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
  • Design integrations.Oversee how Salesforce connects into the broader enterprise landscape — marketing automation, ERP, HR, enrichment tools — using API-led connectivity, event-drivenpatternsand middleware.
  • Drive innovation.Assess and champion adoption of new Salesforcefeatures and emerging AI/Agentforcecapabilities.
  • Review and elevate.Lead design reviews and technical RFCs before majorbuilds, andrun code reviews focused on teaching and raising the team's technical ceiling.
  • Mentor and coach.Support mid-to-senior engineers on solution trade-offs, integration impact, scalabilityand observability (this role may or may not have direct reports).
  • Bridge business and engineering.Translate business requirements and company OKRs into technicalbriefs, andconnect engineering and product stakeholders.
This role is for you if you have:
  • Hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • Expert-levelproficiencyin Apex, LWC and Flow — including async processing, batch jobs, triggersand complexcomponentcomposition
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce data modelling, SOQL optimisation and large data volumes
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns: REST APIs, event streaming, middleware
  • Experience with DevOps and CI-CD tooling — Git strategy, scratch orgs, deployment automation
  • Comfortable communicating architecture clearly to non-technical stakeholders and leading design reviews
  • Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, designcritiquesand pairing sessions
  • Familiarity with Account Engagement and/or Marketing Cloud is a plus
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II and Administrator certificationsrequired; Application Architect, System Architect, AI Associate/Specialistor Integration Architecture Designer certifications are strongly preferred
This role is not for you if:
  • You'drather stay purely hands-on than also own architecture, standardsand platform governance — this role carries both
  • You'renot interested in mentoring — teaching through code reviews and design critiques is core to the role
  • You prefer working in a single domain — this role spans platform, integrations,DevOpsand cross-team alignment
  • You'renot curious about emerging AI/Agentforcecapabilities — exploring how Salesforce fits into agent workflowsispart of the job
