The Cornell Experience Modernization Initiative (CEMI) is a multi-year program designed to improve the experience of students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, patients, and partners by unifying and enhancing administrative systems and processes across all Cornell University locations. Its name CEMI is said as "See Me" because the focus is on you: the people who use Cornell's systems and data to accomplish your goals.
What will you do:
Cornell University seeks an experienced and operationally focused Salesforce Operations Manager (CEMI) to oversee the day-to-day health, delivery, and continuous improvement of the university's enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. • Experience managing teams, technical operations, or cross-functional delivery groups.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, security, integrations, and release cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume work across multiple Salesforce orgs and products.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and structured change management processes.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical, data, and integration issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data privacy and compliance requirements including FERPA and HIPAA.
  • Operationally focused with strong ability to manage competing priorities and keep work moving.
  • Strong problem-solver who thrives in complex, high-volume environments.
  • Collaborative leader skilled at building partnerships across units and disciplines.
  • Customer-centric mindset with commitment to delivering value and improving user experience.
  • High attention to detail, quality, and follow-through.
  • Commitment to privacy, data security, and responsible stewardship of university data.
  • Proven experience connecting inclusion, belonging and wellbeing practices to business goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience supporting multi-org Salesforce environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Boomi), APIs, and data synchronization.
  • Background in higher education, student services, or similarly complex environments.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, Marketing Cloud).
