Job description

As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you are responsible for leading the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that meet the business needs of PRO-spectus.  This position works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and develop comprehensive solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform. Your role will involve architecting scalable and sustainable solutions, guiding development teams, and ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.

This role will have a strong understanding of Salesforce CRM and its capabilities, coupled with the ability to customize and configure Salesforce to meet the needs of PRO-spectus. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of PRO-spectus business processes.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and identifying opportunities to leverage Salesforce products and features.
  • Solution Design:
    • Creating comprehensive technical solutions aligned with business requirements, leveraging the Salesforce platform's capabilities, including Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Salesforce Shield, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and more.
  • Architecture Development:
    • Designing scalable and robust architecture solutions, including data models, system integrations, workflows, and customizations, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
    • Design and implementation of the Salesforce platform security model including visibility, accessibility, and sharing.
  • Salesforce Configuration and Customization:
    • Customize Salesforce applications by configuring standard and custom objects, fields, page layouts, and workflow rules to meet business requirements.
    • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to provide actionable insights and streamline business processes.
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce customizations including fields, objects, workflows, process builder, validation rules, and custom applications.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions within Salesforce; e.g., solutions within Salesforce to automate business processes and reduce manual tasks.
  • Solution Implementation:
    • Overseeing the configuration, customization, and development of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with the agreed-upon architecture and design.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of solutions.
  • Data, Analytics, and Integration Management:
    • Designing and implementing seamless integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems, including ERP, client CRMs, marketing automation, and other third-party applications.
    • Help maintain data integrity by defining and developing data governance policies, managing data quality, and performing regular data audits and clean-ups.
    • Administer data imports, exports, and data migrations between Salesforce and other integrated systems while ensuring data security and compliance.
    • Configure and maintain reports and dashboards to support client reporting needs.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conducting thorough testing and other quality assurance activities to ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of Salesforce solutions.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Creating comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user guides, and providing training and support to end-users as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Leverage consultative approach, actively collaborating with business stakeholders (internal & external), project managers, developers, and other cross-functional teams, to ensure the successful delivery of Salesforce solutions on time and within budget.
    • Proactively identify user needs and implement enhancements to optimize user experience and drive adoption. Create and maintain user roles, profiles, permissions sets, and sharing rules.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Staying updated on the latest Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends, and recommending enhancements to existing solutions to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills / Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in a leading role in delivering Salesforce projects.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, customization, and administration.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security model and best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud / Life Sciences in a production environment.
  • Experience configuring Salesforce reports and dashboards. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • The following are preferred but not required:
    • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience.
    • Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies.
    • Experience with Sales, Marketing or Service Cloud.
    • Working knowledge of data science programming languages; e.g., SQL, Python.

Education, Certifications and Experience: 

  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) required.
  • Additional certifications such as Advanced Administrator (ADM 211) or Platform App Builder a plus.
  • Minimum 4+ years hands-on-keyboard Salesforce experience.
  • Experience in healthcare or proven ability to learn industry nuances quickly.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator or similar role, with a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, configuration, and customization.
