Job description

Salesforce Developer

Markon is building a talent pool of Salesforce (JavaScript) CRM Developers to support future Intelligence Community customer missions in Herndon, VA. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify qualified candidates to develop, enhance, and maintain CRM solutions that support mission operations, customer engagement, and business processes. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings aligned to enterprise application and digital modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities and duties of the Salesforce Developer are (but not limited to):

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, JavaScript, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries across standard and custom objects in complex data models.
  • Configure and support Salesforce administrative operations, including workflows, validation rules, security settings, and role hierarchies.
  • Deliver clean, reliable, and well-documented code on schedule, ensuring alignment with business and client requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a strong customer-service orientation in high-pressure environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and adherence to Salesforce best practices.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively, balancing long-term projects with urgent client requests.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications

Required:

  • In depth and proven knowledge of Salesforce Development process.
  • Good understanding of the CRM processes.
  • Proficient in writing clean, solid, readable code.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, reliable code implemented on schedule.
  • Time management, ability to multitask, and propensity to handle urgent interrupts with poise and professionalism.
  • Good knowledge of Javascript, SQL.
  • Detailed knowledge of Salesforce architecture.
  • Capable of writing and debugging efficient SOQL queries of standard and custom objects, and able to understand and develop for complex data models.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with a solid customer-service orientation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to share ideas both with the business and internal IT teams.
  • Ability to maintain a detail oriented approach while multitasking in a fast paced environment.
Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr. The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
