Job Description

THIS IS A CONTRACT-TO-HIRE POSITION

A seasoned leader in a technology field. Establishes methods based on proven research for the Technical Product Management team. Applies advanced skills in the field to construct industry-leading products. Contributes to technology projects and processes under general direction.

  • Implements processes to review and translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Directs individuals to work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.
  • Assists in the management of complex experimentation procedures to address product development issues and compiles results for review.
  • Helps establish and maintain policies for working in an Agile environment, continuously reviews business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks. Assesses innovation opportunities to experiment and confront problems of large complexity and scope.
  • Confers with teams on design and research initiatives to improve existing services or product features.
  • Delivers technical reports, technical memoranda, and other documents for internal and external distribution.
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities

This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring that products align with customer needs, technical feasibility, and organizational objectives. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, UX, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that drive measurable business value.

This is a high-impact, Salesforce-centered IT Manager/Product Management role focused on event-driven business processes, stakeholder leadership, and delivery orchestration - not configuration-heavy technical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the squad vision/roadmap and steer the team in delivering products/platforms, features/work oriented around business impact
  • Shape and prioritize backlog, utilizing business expertise and understanding of customer needs, and translate requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria
  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency
  • Act as the "voice of the customer" within the squad to ensure the squad "builds the right thing"
  • Plan resourcing for the team (i.e., new role, change in role), create ASOE requests, interview, select, and onboard members to join the team
  • Accountable for shaping and hitting team OKRs
  • Work closely with Product/Platform Manager to establish the products' business value and support messaging, comms, and customer outreach as necessary
  • Ensure the products/features/work meet relevant security, privacy & compliance standards
  • Drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle
  • Drive engagement with third parties to support the delivery of team objectives
  • Drive the selection of solution options, work with the Lead Engineer to assess tech elements of the solution prior to user testing
  • Facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and demos with stakeholders
  • Interact with other teams within the Product / Platform as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-team tasks
  • Drive reporting and analytics to provide visibility on team performance and monitor sprint metrics and user results
  • Work with Lead Engineer to balance tech debt with feature delivery
  • Own and manage documentation and information
  • Collaborate to ensure all partners are clear on product roadmap activities, design, interdependencies, and timelines
  • Actively participate in all team ceremonies; lead and optimize the flow of value using various tools

Business-Facing

  • Engage stakeholders to understand current and future business needs
  • Translate needs into Salesforce-enabled solutions
  • Navigate process, logistics, and planning complexities
  • Manage competing priorities and resolve conflicts

Delivery-Facing

  • Collaborate with Product Analysts on requirements
  • Guide Engineering through backlog prioritization
  • Oversee end-to-end execution
  • Ensure integrations across Salesforce, Cvent, and web properties function correctly

Digital Expertise

  • Understanding of customer journeys and customer experience
  • Foundational skills (at minimum) in Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Automation, and Emerging Technology
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce/Sales Cloud experience
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Business Management
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of standard practices, technology, and supporting industry principles
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into a product vision by leveraging their expertise in product development, engineering, and UX
  • Deep understanding of business/processes and a high-level understanding of high-quality digital product delivery
  • Experienced in managing a product backlog/release plan, tracking team-level metrics, attending product team ceremonies, and removing blockers
  • Experienced in developing systems and tools to enable customer interactions and collaboration
  • Experienced working in pharma/life sciences, or highly regulated industries
