Job description

Priority Dispatch Corp. is looking for a Salesforce CPQ Specialist to help power the tools that support emergency dispatchers around the world. In this role, you’ll partner closely with internal teams to design, optimize, and support CPQ solutions that directly enable lifesaving services. If you thrive in complex configurations and want your work to truly matter, this is the role for you!

We offer benefits that include medical, dental, vision, legal, and pet insurance, 401K and company contributions, PTO, short and long term disability and life insurance, and more while having meaningful work at a company that's been voted as a top place to work in Utah for the past 5 years running! Come see why our teams love to work here!

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce CPQ Specialist to join our CRM and Sales Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, scalability, and efficiency of our Quote-to-Cash processes. You will take ownership of the Salesforce CPQ platform—driving enhancements, maintaining pricing and product structures, and enabling the sales team to quote efficiently and accurately.

In addition to CPQ, this role supports core Salesforce Sales Cloud functionality, partnering directly with sales leadership and end users to optimize workflows, improve data quality, and implement scalable solutions across our CRM ecosystem.

If you have a passion for operational excellence, love enabling sales teams, and enjoy solving complex configuration challenges, this role is for you.

Major Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Salesforce CPQ, including:
    • Product and bundle setup
    • Product rules, pricing rules, discount schedules, and approval workflows
    • Quote templates and document generation
    • Contract and subscription management
    • Renewal processes
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Sales Operations to ensure accurate product catalog management.
  • Develop and manage CPQ logic, validations, automation, and data models.
  • Troubleshoot CPQ issues, perform root cause analysis, and deploy fixes or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with sales and Salesforce team leadership to inform CPQ roadmap.
  • Design CPQ solutions with scalability and long-term maintenance in mind.
  • Support Administrators to manage CPQ-related Sales Cloud features, including opportunities, accounts, contacts, pricebooks and pricebook entries, territories, activities, and forecasting.
  • Maintain and optimize automation that supports sales processes.
  • Ensure data integrity and support data stewardship activities.
  • Serve as the goto resource for sales reps and managers regarding quoting processes and CPQ functionality.
  • Deliver enablement sessions, create documentation, and provide ongoing support.
  • Partner with sales leadership to analyze process inefficiencies and propose CPQ/CRM improvements.
  • Monitor adoption and usage of CPQ, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with:
    • Sales to streamline quoting and selling workflows.
    • Finance to maintain pricing accuracy and approval logic.
    • Product to manage catalog updates and new product readiness.
    • Salesforce administrators to support Sales Cloud activities, including flows and advanced technical solutions.
    • Developers for processes requiring custom scripts, Apex or integrations.
  • Support CPQ-related testing, release validation, and post-deployment verification.
  • Maintain documentation for CPQ configuration, processes, and feature enhancements.
  • Follow established Salesforce governance and architectural standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and process alignment across Quote-to-Cash.

    Required

    • 3+ years of experience administering or configuring Salesforce, including Sales Cloud.
    • 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce CPQ (SteelBrick) experience.
    • Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash lifecycle, pricing methodologies, and product configuration.
    • Experience with Salesforce declarative tools (Flows, validation rules, custom fields, reports, dashboards).
    • Understand downstream impacts of CPQ changes on reporting, renewals, and financial processes.
    • Must have knowledge of Salesforce.com security (role hierarchy, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules).
    • Excellent analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
    • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
    • Experience in working on multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
    • An eagerness for acquiring new knowledge.

    Preferred

    • Salesforce Certified CPQ Administrator certificate.
    • Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator Certification.
    • Experience with subscription or recurring revenue models.
    • Understanding of approval processes, DocuSign/CLM tools, or order management systems.
    • Ability to write basic SOQL queries for troubleshooting and analysis.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and manage multiple task simultaneously.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, using a variety of communication tools and methods.
