Job description

Job Summary:

Allegis Group is the global leader in talent solutions, delivering staffing services to our customers through our operating companies, including Aerotek, TEKsystems, and Aston Carter. The IT department at Allegis is leading us through a digital transformation where we are seamlessly incorporating technology into our work to enhance who we are – a company committed to creating opportunity for those around us and for those who will come after us.

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join the Connected Growth & Insights team — a metrics-focused practice within Connected Shared Services. This team serves as the "engine of insight" for the Connected program, connecting every data point to a strategic outcome and functioning as the Metrics Support System for every team in Connected.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and visualization skills with emerging AI/ML capabilities to surface the value of the Salesforce ecosystem of products and linked applications. This person will own metric definition, dashboard delivery, and stakeholder storytelling across multiple OpCos and transformation stages — while also advancing our Cortex AI agent initiative to make Snowflake data and insights more accessible through self-service tooling.

Are you up for the challenge?

Top Skills:

  • Expertise with SQL for complex querying against cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred)
  • Proficiency in data visualization and BI tools, especially Tableau
  • Experience defining, measuring, and communicating business metrics and KPIs to executive stakeholders
  • Familiarity with AI/ML techniques including text-to-SQL, semantic modeling, and predictive analytics (Snowflake Cortex experience a plus)
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and CRM analytics

Job Description:

  • Leads metrics strategy and analytics delivery for the Connected Growth & Insights team within Allegis Group's enterprise Salesforce practice.
  • Partners with coalition leaders, product owners, and Data & Analytics architects to define success metrics across all transformation stages.
  • Designs and delivers Tableau dashboards and visualizations that transform product and sales activity into decision-ready metrics for OpCo stakeholders.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership using data storytelling techniques.
  • Advance self-service analytics capabilities through Snowflake Cortex AI (Cortex Analyst / Cortex Search) to reduce time-to-insight and enable rapid decision-making for early-phase experiments and enterprise rollouts.
  • Evaluate analytics tooling to reduce duplicative technology and optimize the team's reporting stack.
  • Mentor team members on analytics best practices and data science principles.
  • Presents findings to stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Functions:

  • Defines, builds, and maintains success metrics for Connected initiatives across all transformation stages (Experiment → Pilot → Enterprise Rollout → Steady State), aligned to the Metrics Center of Excellence framework
  • Designs and delivers Tableau dashboards and reports that transform product and sales activity into decision-ready metrics for OpCo stakeholders (TEKsystems, Aerotek, Actalent, Aston Carter)
  • Translates complex data into clear, actionable narratives for coalition leaders, product owners, and senior IS leadership — using data storytelling to demonstrate the value of the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Advances the Cortex AI agent initiative by developing and expanding self-service analytics capabilities (Cortex Analyst / Cortex Search) that reduce time-to-insight for stakeholders
  • Delivers reports and analysis for the Incubation Hub and cross-coalition teams, ensuring data-driven decisions are applied to the performance of experiments
  • Analyzes and recommends analytics tooling (e.g., Adobe Analytics vs. Quantum Metric) to reduce duplicative technology and optimize the analytics stack
  • Serves as the Growth & Insights data SME within Metrics CoE tactical working groups, partnering with coalition leads and Data & Analytics architects to ensure metrics align with business goals
  • Works in an Agile team with business analysts, product owners, and developers to deliver analytics solutions in sprints
  • Communicates project status, issues, and resolution with appropriate stakeholders
  • Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies and adopts suitable concepts for the organization
  • Creates level of effort (LOE) and duration estimates for assigned work. Proactively manages activities to meet those expectations
  • Mentors and guides junior team members on analytics best practices, metric design patterns, and data science principles

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or other related STEM field
  • 7+ years in a data science, analytics, or business intelligence role with progressive responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience defining and delivering business metrics and KPIs at enterprise scale
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Tableau (or equivalent BI platform)
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, or automation
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data models and CRM reporting is strongly preferred

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing and A/B experimentation
  • Ability to apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques for classification, clustering, and predictive modeling
  • Experience building semantic models or AI-driven analytics tools (Snowflake Cortex, LLM-powered analytics a plus)
  • Strong data visualization skills with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and stakeholder-appropriate design
  • Ability to communicate insights to business and leadership audiences in verbal and written formats — including executive-level data storytelling
  • Strong understanding of Agile processes and practices (SAFe experience a plus)
  • Ability to lead initiatives, mentor team members, and take accountability for delivery
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Intellectual curiosity: creativity and innovation to go beyond current tools to deliver the best solution to complex problems
