Job description

Halvik Corp delivers a wide range of services to 13 executive agencies and 15 independent agencies. Halvik is a highly successful WOB business with more than 50 prime contracts and 500+ professionals delivering Digital Services, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Cutting-Edge Technology across the US Government. Be a part of something special!
Position Overview
Halvik is seeking a senior individual contributor with a rare combination of Salesforce development depth, data architecture skills, MuleSoft integration experience, and hands-on Data 360 expertise. This role supports Dept. of Commerce - Federal Grants Programs. The role requires someone who builds: designing Salesforce data models, writing migration scripts, configuring MuleSoft integrations, and standing up Data 360 semantic models. The ideal candidate has spent years as a Salesforce developer (Apex, LWC, Flows) and has evolved into data-centric work: object model design, large-scale data migration, integration architecture, and analytics enablement through Data 360. We need someone who can think across the full data lifecycle from source system profiling through Salesforce object modeling to semantic layer definition - and who can personally execute each step.
Core Responsibilities
  • Salesforce Data Modeling & Architecture: Design, extend, and optimize Salesforce data models including custom objects, relationships (master-detail, lookup, junction), record types, field configurations, and data storage patterns. Ensure model decisions support compliance reporting, analytics, and downstream integration. Develop data warehousing blueprints and evaluate data reusability for additional analyses.
  • Data Migration: Lead end-to-end data migration activities: source system inventory and profiling, field-level mapping to Salesforce objects, ETL job development with cleansing and transformation rules, and phased migration sprints with iterative validation. Maintain legacy data access per agency retention policies.
  • MuleSoft Integration Development: Build and maintain API-led integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Implement System, Process, and Experience API layers connecting Salesforce with internal agency systems and external federal platforms. Write DataWeave transformations, configure CloudHub deployments, and implement error handling with retry mechanisms and automated alerting.
  • Data 360 & Semantic Layer: Configure and extend Salesforce Data 360 to build semantic models that enable natural-language querying and analytics. Define data relationships, business metrics, and calculated fields within the semantic layer. Support integration between Data 360, CRM Analytics, and Tableau Next.
  • Salesforce Application Development: Comfortable with declarative-first approach - build and maintain complex Flows and Flow Orchestrations as the primary automation mechanism, alongside Apex classes and triggers where custom code is warranted. Develop Lightning Web Components and SOQL/SOSL queries to support reporting and UI requirements
  • Data Quality & Governance: Own data quality for reporting and compliance data pipelines. Implement automated validation checks within integration flows and migration scripts. Produce Data Profiling Reports, Data Mapping Specifications, and post-migration reconciliation deliverables.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional Salesforce development experience (Flows, Apex, LWC, SOQL), with at least 2 years focused on data architecture, data modeling, or large-scale data migration within Salesforce.
  • MuleSoft (Required): Prior project experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including API design (RAML/OAS), Mule flows, DataWeave transformations, and CloudHub or Runtime Fabric deployment. Must demonstrate integration work delivered on a real engagement, not just training or certification.
  • Data 360 (Required): Hands-on project experience with Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Tableau CRM Data Prep or Data Cloud components). Must have configured semantic models, defined business metrics, or built data pipelines within Data 360 on a delivered project.
  • Salesforce Data Model Expertise: Deep understanding of Salesforce standard and custom objects, relationships, field types, record types, data storage limits, and data architecture best practices. Experience with Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, Metadata API, and data import/export patterns.
  • Certifications (Required): Salesforce Platform Developer I. At minimum one additional relevant certification (e.g., Platform Developer II, Data Architect, Integration Architect, MuleSoft Developer, or OmniStudio Developer).
  • Tools: Proficiency with SQL, Git/GitHub, JIRA, VS Code with Salesforce Extensions, and at least one data profiling or ETL tool.
  • Compliance: Must be eligible for Public Trust (Tier 2 / MBI) security clearance. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.

Preferred Expertise
  • Salesforce Data Architect or Integration Architect certification.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Grants Management data model.
  • OmniStudio experience (DataRaptors, Integration Procedures) for data orchestration within Salesforce.
  • Experience with CRM Analytics (formerly Einstein Analytics) or Tableau Next.
  • Agentforce or Einstein AI experience - grounding data pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI data preparation.
  • FedRAMP compliance experience or prior work on federal government Salesforce contracts.
