Role Summary
The Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the governance, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Salesforce platform. This role ensures high data integrity, system reliability, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a handson, independent thinker who exercises strong due diligence before executing platform changes, owns platform integrity end-to-end, and proactively identifies risks before they impact the business or data.
 
Key Responsibilities Platform Administration & Governance
· Own and manage all aspects of Salesforce platform administration, including configuration, user access management, and data integrity
· Evaluate and execute change requests with strong due diligence and risk awareness
· Ensure all platform decisions do not introduce business, data, or compliance risk
· Maintain adherence to governance, security, and compliance standards at all times
· Perform independent critical thinking on all platform changes prior to execution
 
Stakeholder & Agile Delivery Partnership
· Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver scalable, well-governed solutions
· Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into Salesforce configurations and enhancements
· Support Agile delivery practices and actively participate in sprint ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives, demos)
· Provide POD support for stories requiring Salesforce Admin involvement
 
Data Analysis & Impact Assessment
· Perform historical and existing data analysis for records impacted by migration or platform changes
· Analyze metadata and transformation logic across systems
· Prepare and migrate legacy datasets for admin reconciliation and load activities
· Execute Data Mapping & Transformation Analysis
· Identify and scope automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve platform efficiency
 
Operational & Recurring Activities
· User Provisioning – manage provisioning requests in alignment with access and security standards
· Recurring Platform Updates – execute scheduled updates on a Daily / Monthly / Quarterly / Annual cadence, including: o Business Change requests o License and permission set reviews o Scheduled data loads and reconciliation tasks
· Event Monitoring – proactively monitor platform events, flag anomalies, and escalate as appropriate
· Deployment Support – provide admin support for platform deployments as needed
· UAT Validation Support – assist with User Acceptance Testing for larger efforts when POD teams have limited bandwidth
· Quarterly Metrics & Reporting – produce and maintain a quarterly metrics dashboard covering:
Event Monitoring trends and findings o User metrics (active users, license utilization, access anomalies, login history) o Data Health metrics (data quality scores, duplicate records, etc.)
 
Required Skills & Experience
· Hands-on, proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator in an enterprise environment (not simply familiarity)
• Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration (objects, validation rules, workflows, permissions, etc.) and third-party apps integration
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
 
· Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks, including use of JIRA and Confluence
Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and cross-system data reconciliation
