We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions to support enterprise-level CRM initiatives for a government client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce development and architecture, strong integration expertise, and a passion for delivering secure, high-performance solutions in a collaborative environment.


Job Title: Salesforce Developer
Location: Lansing, MI 48933 (Hybrid – Onsite from Day 1, two days per week; Local candidates within 90 miles only. No remote-only option)
Duration: 1 Year Contract (Possible Extension)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team within a state government environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for end-to-end Salesforce solution delivery, including development, configuration, integration, deployment, and release management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical managers, architects, and end users to define and translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura Components.
  • Implement declarative (no-code/low-code) solutions using Flows, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules where applicable.
  • Lead full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations, including architecture design, development, testing, release management, and post-deployment support.
  • Take ownership of release cycles, change management processes, and CI/CD pipelines using SFDX and Azure DevOps.
  • Integrate Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises systems using REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and OAuth authentication protocols.
  • Implement Batch Apex and Scheduled Apex for scalable processing needs.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and governmental guidelines throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Oversee data migration, data quality initiatives, third-party integrations, and AppExchange product implementations.
  • Define and enforce development standards and best practices for the Salesforce team.
  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Create training plans to support transition to Maintenance & Operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Service Cloud.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Salesforce Lightning and LWC.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, Aura, LWC, HTML5, and JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of API integration and Single Sign-On (SSO) experience.
  • Strong experience with SFDX and Salesforce Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or other requirement tracking/CI/CD tools.
  • Exposure to data migration and cloud integration projects.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator (Required).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
  • Experience with Conga and Drawloop.
  • Experience working within government environments and knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP-compliant tools).
