The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and consultative seller who can balance team development with revenue accountability. This individual will be organized, self-directed, credible in industrial environments, and comfortable providing direct, constructive coaching while building strong relationships with both customers and sales professionals.

Sales Manager – Do you have the following:

·      Willingness to spend the majority of the week in the field with the sales team

·      Valid driver’s license and ability to meet required industrial site-access/safety requirements

·       Related experience in industrial coatings, repair composites, maintenance, rotating equipment, or reliability solutions preferred

Sales Manager – Our client offers:

·      Established industrial organization with a strong market presence and broad customer base

·      High-impact leadership role managing approximately 12-16 Outside/Technical Sales Representatives

·      Competitive base salary plus incentive compensation tied to team revenue, margin performance, and sales team development

·      Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, fuel, and mobile device

·      Health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and holidays

·      Ongoing technical, product, and sales development training

·      Opportunity to directly influence team performance, territory growth, and sales culture

Sales Manager – Here’s the basics:

·      Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 12-16 Outside/Technical Sales Representatives

·      Spend approximately four days per week in the field conducting ride-alongs, customer calls, equipment surveys, and live sales coaching

·      Coach consultative selling, including discovery, root-cause questioning, value positioning, objection handling, negotiation, and closing

·      Design and maintain an ongoing sales training and onboarding program with clear development milestones

·      Own the territory sales plan, including annual and quarterly revenue, margin, and growth objectives

·      Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide credible monthly forecasts

·      Drive new account development while protecting and expanding existing customer relationships

·      Support complex, high-value, and stalled opportunities alongside the sales team

·      Conduct performance reviews, individual development plans, and constructive performance management

·      Maintain relationships with key accounts and stay current on market conditions

·      Use one administrative day per week for forecasting, reporting, one-on-ones, training preparation, recruiting, and internal coordination

Sales Manager – Wish List & Soft Skills:

  • Strong people leader with a coaching and teaching mindset
  • Approachable, relationship-focused, and able to hold reps accountable
  • Direct, constructive communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized, disciplined, and self-directed
  • Hands-on, field-oriented leader who leads by example
  • Adaptable and quick to learn technical products and customer environments
  • Strong commercial mindset with sound judgment around revenue, margin, and opportunities
  • Credible with both sales teams and industrial customers
  • Comfortable managing a large, geographically dispersed team

Travel & Territory:

·      Approximately 70-80% in-territory field travel with occasional overnight travel
