Architectural Sales Specialist

You will be a high-performance, front-line sales specialist responsible for building the sales process and driving measurable results for architectural products. The Architectural Sales Specialist calls directly on architects & designers, end-users, and other influencers to sell architectural products such as modular walls, modular power, access flooring and sound masking. They will proactively manage relationships with general contractors. We ask that you have a proven record of architectural or building construction sales achievement, and a working knowledge of the construction process and application of architectural products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with customers, general contractors, and essential influencers.
  • Recognize service opportunities to build relationships and grow accounts.
  • Business savvy; easily move between conversations (i.e., financial conversations) and design discussions (i.e., design experience).
  • Develop new business by being initiative-taking, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results.
  • Supply accurate sales forecast.
  • Excellent collaborator and can easily engage others to support the broader strategy.
  • Comfortable with and can excel in an environment that is meticulous and complex.

Education and/or Experience

  • 3 or more years of experience in an outside sales role calling on a varied client base.
  • 2 or more years' experience selling construction products, flooring, office furniture or design services.
  • Experience with sales strategy and deciding how to best position one's offering to support the needs of the customer and the strategy.
  • Experience with how to support the design process through architects and designers and the commercial real estate audience.
  • You will have a strong business acumen, a professional presence while participating in networking events, excellent interpersonal skills and have natural problem-solving skills. You flourish in internal and external work-related activities.
  • Have a strong understanding of the interior construction process, including technical knowledge of products, buildings and building codes, and familiarity with construction contract law and project risk analysis
