Job description

In this dynamic role as a Sales Representative, you are pivotal in increasing sales volume, market share, product distribution, and space allocation. As the primary contact at the store level, you’ll build and nurture strong relationships with customers, fostering the trust and respect Bigfoot Beverages is known for. Your analytical thinking will be crucial; maximizing distribution and collaborating with customers and management to create impactful display opportunities. While your exceptional communication ensures seamless coordination and execution of our sales strategies, it also provides needed information to our cross-functional support teams. Working closely with your manager, Merchandisers, Delivery Drivers, and brand representatives, you'll achieve and exceed company objectives while upholding the highest standards of integrity and service. Essential Functions

  1. Execution of marketing programs and company strategies to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency within designated accounts.

  2. Maintain and expand sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation and customer service in all designated accounts.

  3. Establish and maintain customer relationships through a high standard of professionalism, behavior, respectful and attentive communication. Be courteous and responsive to customer service opportunities with a close attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to service all company related accounts.

  4. Train, motivate and communicate with Delivery Drivers and Merchandisers as part of a team to ensure customer needs are met at all times.

  5. Perform accurate and detailed inventory counts, place orders for future delivery and sell product inventory to standard.

  6. Sell and execute promotions, solicit placement of equipment and use marketing materials to encourage sales.

  7. Retain current accounts through relationship building, prompt communication, overall product and account knowledge. Problem solve to meet the needs of all designated accounts and work closely with management if resources are required.

  8. Manage and maintain current company brand flow within designated accounts. Ensure each account has the maximum number of products and packages to maximize total distribution.

  9. Ensure product remains in satisfactory condition according to company standards through careful storage, placement, transportation and attention to detail.

  10. Maintain current Point of Sale materials at all accounts and communicate with the Print Shop and management when materials need to be ordered or are missing.

  11. Communicate account updates, inventory levels and opportunity for shelf space with their manager.

  12. Adhere to all requirements for vehicle cleanliness and safety, follow all traffic laws and company vehicle policies.

  13. Observe company safety guidelines and practices in every phase of work. Report all hazardous conditions, safety concerns, injuries, incidents or property damage to your manager.

  14. Regular and reliable attendance.

  15. This is a safety-sensitive position. The employee has the responsibility to always be cognizant of their own safety and the safety of others, must have the ability to perform job functions in a safe manner, and operate company equipment and/or vehicles with good judgment and awareness of surroundings at all times.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in the trade, with frequent warehouse exposure, and does require travel within the designated market. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as a hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift and six-wheel cart as well as drive a company vehicle.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt level position. The schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend work as necessary. 40 plus hours weekly, shift start time will vary based upon daily needs of the business and route.

These applications are being solicited in anticipation of a possible labor dispute. Positions may or may not be permanent. Positions may still be available after an agreement is reached.

Important: Since Bigfoot Beverages is engaged in collective bargaining, the above wages are subject to change.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or GED Required.
  2. Experience in the beverage industry, merchandising, delivery, or sales.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Knowledge of the beer and grocery industry.

Employee must meet company standards for driving a company vehicle, pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
