Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Insurance Sales Team Manager to lead a team of licensed insurance agents. This role will focus on driving performance, maintaining compliance standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong sales background and a passion for coaching teams to success. The manager will also be expected to actively dial and support sales efforts during peak seasons to ensure team goals are met.
The Responsibilities of the Sales Performance Manager include:
  • Inspire and Lead: Motivate your team of insurance sales agents to deliver exceptional performance by setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching and development.
  • Drive Compliance and Quality: Ensure that your team consistently meets compliance and quality assurance standards to maintain regulatory excellence.
  • Continuous Growth: Coach and support agents with a focus on skill improvement, productivity, and career development.
  • Motivate for Success: Energize and inspire agents to exceed key performance metrics, fostering a high-energy, results-driven environment.
  • Recruit and Retain Talent: Interview, select, onboard, and retain top talent while addressing performance issues through counseling and corrective action as needed.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with the Sales Director to develop creative strategies that drive consistent results and adapt to changing market demands.
  • Collaborate and Partner: Work cross-functionally with other teams and departments to achieve broader program goals.
  • Lead by Example: During high-volume periods, actively participate in dialing efforts to support team success and demonstrate best practices in sales.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications Include:
  • 2+ years of experience in a direct supervisory or leadership role within a sales environment
  • Proven track record of strong sales performance
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver effective coaching and feedback
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to motivate others and maintain high production levels
  • An active resident insurance license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Extensive experience managing and coaching licensed insurance agents or sales professionals in a related industry

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • Full-Time in office role
  • Core Hours: Monday through Friday, with flexibility required during high-volume periods
  • Peak Season Requirements: October 15th through December 7th, weekend shifts and overtime will be required, with average work hours ranging from 45 to 60 per week
  • Hands-On Leadership: During peak season, the manager is expected to actively support the team by taking calls and participating in sales activities to ensure goals are achieved.
