Job description

New Car Sales Manager
Carlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM - Tupelo, MS Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 (base plus performance incentives) Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
About Carlock Automotive Group
Carlock Automotive Group is a family-owned dealership group with a reputation built on integrity, long-term customer relationships, and a commitment to doing right by both our guests and our people. Carlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Tupelo represents one of the strongest Stellantis franchises in the region, and we're looking for a driven, hands-on leader to take our new vehicle sales operation to the next level.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced New Car Sales Manager to lead our new vehicle sales team, drive volume and gross, and deliver an exceptional customer experience from first contact through delivery. This is a high-visibility leadership role with real ownership over desking, inventory, team development, and store performance. The right candidate is a coach and a closer who leads from the floor, holds a high standard, and knows how to build a winning, accountable sales culture.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop the new car sales team to hit and exceed monthly volume, gross, and CSI targets
  • Desk deals, structure financing scenarios, and drive profitable closes while maintaining full transparency with customers
  • Manage new vehicle inventory, including ordering, stocking mix, aging, and turn in coordination with Stellantis allocation
  • Own the sales process from lead to delivery, ensuring consistent follow-up, appraisal accuracy, and a smooth handoff to F&I
  • Set clear expectations, run daily save-a-deal and one-on-one accountability, and develop the next generation of sales talent
  • Partner with marketing and the GM on inventory merchandising, digital lead response, and campaign execution
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership, manufacturer, and regulatory standards
  • Analyze store metrics and manufacturer reporting to identify opportunities and course-correct quickly
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of automotive sales management experience (Sales Manager, Desk Manager, or Assistant Sales Manager)
  • Stellantis (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM) experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of hitting volume and gross objectives while maintaining strong CSI
  • Strong desking, deal-structuring, and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of dealership DMS and CRM platforms
  • A leadership style that motivates, develops, and holds a team accountable
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work a retail schedule, including evenings and Saturdays
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary of $125,000-$150,000 with an uncapped performance-based incentive structure
  • Strong, well-stocked Stellantis inventory and marketing support
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off
  • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
  • A stable, family-owned group with clear paths for advancement
  • A leadership team that invests in its people

Carlock Automotive Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
