Job description

The Holiday Inn & Suites/Avid, a dual-branded hotel located in Mount Juliet is hiring a dynamic and engaged Sales Manager. This beautiful, 168-room hotel has just over 1,800 sq. ft. of meeting space.
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring hotel revenues meet or exceed budget goals. This individual will work closely with the General Manager, Front Desk, and Revenue Manager to drive business growth, secure new accounts, and deliver exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong listening and communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. They must be organized, results-driven, and display professionalism, integrity, and follow-through in all interactions. This position will utilize their skills in both inside and outside sales.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and execute a marketing plan, sales budget, and market segment strategies
  • Prospect and secure new business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, and networking
  • Schedule and complete sales appointments with potential clients
  • Attend local business and community events to promote the hotel
  • Negotiate rates for LNR accounts in collaboration with the Director of Sales and GM
  • Support group business efforts, including contracts, cutoff dates, and client follow-up
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure group events and meetings run smoothly
  • Assist clients with planning meetings, property tours, and showcasing amenities
  • Maintain accurate sales files and update records in the sales system
  • Implement a weekly prospecting plan to target need dates
  • Facilitate inside sales leads and handle inquiries efficiently
  • Participate in revenue management discussions when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of PMS systems and online platforms
