La Quinta Inn & Suites Nashville Airport is seeking an energetic, results-driven Sales Manager to lead the hotel's sales efforts and grow revenue across corporate, group, and extended stay business segments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality sales professional who enjoys building relationships, prospecting new business, and developing creative sales strategies in one of Nashville's most active hotel markets.

Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that maximize hotel revenue. This position focuses on generating new business while maintaining existing client relationships across corporate, group, SMERF, sports, airline, government, and extended stay markets.
Working closely with the General Manager, the Sales Manager will oversee the hotel's sales activities, forecasting, business development, marketing efforts, and community engagement to achieve revenue goals.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new corporate, group, and local business accounts through outside sales calls, networking, and client visits.
  • Manage all group room sales from inquiry through contract and execution.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing corporate clients.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and negotiate group rates.
  • Develop and execute the hotel's annual sales and marketing plan.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
  • Participate in community organizations, networking events, and industry associations to generate new business.
  • Conduct hotel site tours for prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, account management, and forecasting within the CRM and hotel systems.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, production reports, and business reviews.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and hotel team to maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities.
  • Assist with revenue management strategies including market mix, pricing, and business segmentation.
  • Represent the hotel professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
  • Hospitality industry experience required.
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience selling corporate, group, and extended stay business is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and hotel sales systems.
  • Experience with Wyndham systems or OPERA Cloud is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local sales calls.
