Job description

The Senior Manager, Exhibitor Marketing will be instrumental in maximizing exhibitor participation and satisfaction for the triennial NPE® tradeshow, the premier platform in the plastics industry for education, networking, and innovation, through the effective management and execution of exhibitor-focused marketing, programs, and communication initiatives. This role manages the day-to-day marketing operations and employs marketing best practices to support exhibitor booth space and sponsorship sales, coordinating exhibitor communications, and ensuring exhibitors have the necessary information for a successful show experience. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills and a proven ability to execute marketing programs efficiently. This individual will collaborate closely with Marketing, Technology, and NPE Sales & Operations teams. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns for the organization’s global trade show, NPE: The Plastics Show. 

  • Manage the execution of all exhibitor-focused marketing communications and promotional tactics, including the messaging, design, production and distribution of marketing collateral and sales enablement materials (i.e. lead generation campaigns, exhibitor prospectus, digital content, email marketing, paid media, etc.), website updates, and social media content. 

  • Oversee the execution of the NPE Exhibitor Guest Pass Program, managing creative assets, participation reports, telemarketing initiatives, and multi-channel email communications to maximize exhibitor engagement.

  • Coordinate NPE's presence at relevant industry trade shows, ensuring logistical arrangements and effectively promoting exhibit and/or sponsorship opportunities. 

  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies to improve the customer journey within the NPE experience, focusing on the exhibitor lifecycle. 

  • Partner with the Exhibitor Services and Operations teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of critical exhibitor information, including logistics, deadlines, and show services, while managing exhibitor newsletters and driving webinar engagement.

  • Manage the promotion of key exhibitor initiatives, including the NPE Exhibitor Recycling Program, Sustainable Exhibitor Recognition Program, and Sustainability Park.

  • Coordinate with relevant team members and external partners on the Show Management content production and proofing of the printed Show Guide, floor plan, exhibitor lists, and various materials throughout the show cycle. 

  • Support the NPE Exhibitor Guest Pass Ad Hoc committee and participate in monthly Sales & Marketing Committee meetings.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities, providing data and insights on execution effectiveness. 

  • Ensure adherence to brand standards and guidelines across all exhibitor marketing materials and communications. 

  • Stay updated on industry best practices in exhibitor marketing execution and recommend process improvements. 

Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in marketing B2B trade shows, conferences and live, virtual, and hybrid formats; trade association or marketing/PR agency experience preferred. 

  • Experience managing email marketing campaigns (e.g., HubSpot and Mailchimp), social media platforms, (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), digital media channels (programmatic and paid social), and web (Wordpress).

  • Experience using Google Analytics to enhance campaign performance.  

  • Experience writing including editing and proofreading marketing email and social media copy.  

  • Experience with event management platforms or mobile applications (e.g., MapYourShow or Maritz). 

  • Experience with event marketing tools (e.g., InGo, Snoball, Feathr). 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and marketing procedures.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise marketing content. 

  • Solid understanding of the tradeshow environment and the needs of exhibitors. 

  • Self-motivated with attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize and work on various projects simultaneously, adjust to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results.  

  • Ability to work well autonomously and collectively to build consensus. 

  • Ability to provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
