JOB DETAILS:
  • Locations: San Jose, CA
  • Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co‑op/intern term
Duration:
  • Summer Internship
    • Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
    • Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

We are seeking highly motivated Field Application Engineer Intern to join our team at AMD. In this role -

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve real‑world problems using FPGA‑based and x86 solutions.
  • Gain in‑depth knowledge of FPGA hardware, x86 servers, software tools, and design methodologies.
  • Develop and present technical demos, proofs‑of‑concept, and training materials.
  • Work with cool technology like machine learning, signal processing, high speed serial I/O
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Currently enrolled in a US based University in a Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • If you haveknowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
    • Highly motivated engineers with experience in digital design.
    • Engineers interested in technical sales who help customers get their designs done faster.
  • Exposure to Digital Design (VHDL / Verilog)
  • Exposure to CPU computer architecture
  • Familiarity withbasicprogramming, data structures and algorithms
  • Exposure to OOPlanguages(C++ /System Verilog/ etc.)
  • Exposure toScriptinglanguages(Perl /Python)
