Job description

Location: Remote (United States)

Work Model: Remote

Industry: AI / human data for model training

Compensation: Competitive base and equity, with a consulting-style incentive plan tied to commercial outcomes

About the Company

Our partner is a high-growth AI company providing human data services that power the world's leading AI labs and enterprises. The team has deep human data and operational expertise and is now expanding its commercial footprint, bringing on early go-to-market members to help build the motion. The pace is fast and the stakes are high, deals can reach seven and eight figures and close in remarkably short windows, and clients include frontier and emerging AI labs, application-layer AI companies, and large enterprises building their own models.

The Opportunity

As an Engagement Manager, you will act much like the partner at a consulting firm, going out to acquire new accounts and carrying real commercial responsibility while the delivery is handled by the broader team. You will work with research teams at AI labs, fast-moving newer labs flush with capital, and Fortune-scale enterprises, often selling to senior technical leaders and the C-suite. This is a chance to plant the flag on how the company penetrates and expands its most important accounts, with the opportunity to close career-defining deals.

You will join a small, high-caliber go-to-market team that is growing meaningfully, reporting to an experienced general manager with a long track record in the human data space. Compensation follows a consulting-style incentive structure with bonuses tied to performance and a heavier weighting on commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire and expand high-priority enterprise and AI-lab accounts, carrying commercial responsibility
  • Build relationships with senior technical leaders and C-suite executives at blue-chip organizations
  • Help build the early go-to-market playbook, from ICP definition to account penetration strategy
  • Operate with high agency and ownership in a fast-moving, less-structured environment
  • Drive significant commercial impact on large, fast-closing deals
Requirements
  • Experience at the Engagement Manager, Project Lead, or Senior Manager level at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, having carried commercial responsibility
  • Polish to meet with Fortune 50/100 executives and heads of AI, paired with the agility to thrive in a startup environment
  • Strong AI fluency and comfort operating in a non-traditional, fast-paced sales motion
  • High agency and a high-ownership mentality
  • Bonus: an investment banking or VC background, or experience as a highly AI-forward seller of AI solutions
