Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sales Development Representative Associate for a contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week onsite.
As a Sales Development Representative Associate (SDRA), you will drive outbound pipeline development within an existing account base, identifying and surfacing growth opportunities across a named book of business. You will own the full top-of-funnel motion from strategic account planning through to discovery while also managing contract processing end to end. This role sits at the intersection of sales execution, relationship development, and operational excellence.
This is a contract position on a 2 month contract but will be extended based on perforamance.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain real-time, accurate pipeline data in Dynamics including opportunity stage, next steps, and expected close dates
  • Provide weekly pipeline updates and activity reports to sales leadership
  • Identify and escalate at-risk accounts or stalled deals proactively
  • Analyze outreach performance data to refine messaging, targeting, and sequencing strategies
  • Lead discovery calls with prospects and existing customers, surfacing business pain, use cases, and growth opportunities aligned to the firm's product portfolio
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans for assigned book of business, identifying key stakeholders, whitespace, and expansion potential
  • Research target accounts to build a strong understanding of organizational structure, industry dynamics, and current technology landscape
  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to align on account strategy and handoff qualified opportunities

Required Skills:
  • 0-1 years of experience in a sales development, business development, or inside sales role
  • Demonstrated ability to run a structured outbound motion including cold calling, email sequencing, and social selling
  • Experience leading discovery calls and applying consultative questioning techniques to identify business pain
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to craft compelling, personalized outreach at scale
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data formatting)
  • Comfortable working in Salesforce or equivalent CRM for pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Highly tech-savvy with demonstrated experience using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve productivity, research accounts, and draft communications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in contract documentation and deal tracking
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ownership in a remote, fast-paced environment
  • The hunger to win and use this oppurtunity as a way to pivot into the firm full time.
